Steelhead were running up Trout Run, Erie County, Pennsylvania on October 25.  Hundreds staged in the shallow mouth between Lake Erie and the first fall.  With unstoppable determination, one by one they swam, flapped, twisted and jumped up the two foot shale obstacle.  Some fell short and skidded back.  Those that cleared the fall gathered in the pool to rest before they attacked the next jump.
