Nature Observer’s Gallery

This male Ruby-throat visited a honeysuckle shrub near my friend’s Celine’s condo in Daytona Beach. Celine hung feeders nearby to encourage it to stay. I was able to photograph it on February 8, 2011. The photos show it has abrasions all around the base of its beak. Otherwise it’s healthy, alert and flies very well.
